     The Colorado Springs Chapter of the Military Order of the Stars and Bars (MOSB) is designated as the Major Chatham R. Wheat Chapter 297. Membership is open to all male descendants of either the Officer Corps or Public Officials of the Confederate States of America, who are either resident in the Four Corners states of Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico or Utah, or who have an interest in historical Confederate activities in these territories from 1861 to 1865. Men admitted to the Society are expected to be loyal to the United States of America and to pledge that loyalty by oath. The Society has no political agenda other than that of remembrance of a significant period in our Nation's history. It does not endorse nor is it associated with any Neo-Confederate aspirations.
